When the Mojo Monks are not tending to their families, working their full time jobs, or performing at local venues you’ll find them in the studio, recording tracks for their website. Please be sure to keep an eye on our calendar and come give us some love!!
Pat Condra (Lead Vocal)
Pat Condra lends his contemporary singing style and tone to the Mojo Monks. Prior to joining the band, Pat was the lead singer for the blues band, Angry Dad. He has played in numerous other bands, rousing crowds with his voice and rhythm guitar.
Pat wasn’t always using his singing voice, he began playing drums at age 12 in his elementary school band. At age 14, Pat started to play bass and switched to a six sting guitar when he was 16 – which quickly became his passion. It wasn’t until he was 28 years old that he started singing for people, which he does with great passion today.
Dave Landsverk (Guitar)
Dave Landsverk brings his expertise to the Mojo Monks, having played guitar for over 29 years. Dave played guitar for a few bands during the early eighties – Tantrum, Casper and Steppin’ Out. Today, Dave enjoys playing guitar with the Mojo Monks. Dave can play everything from blues to classic rock to heavy metal. He uses a wide variety of guitars, tones, and effects to give each song just the right feel. His keyboard adds a nice change of pace on a few select tunes.
Dennis McGovern (Guitar)
In step with his family of musicians, Dennis McGovern has been singing and playing guitar for over 30 years, playing for The Change from the late eighties through the nineties. After taking 13 years off from playing in bands to raise his three daughters with his wife, Dennis auditioned for the Mojo Monks. The band was very impressed with Dennis’s ability to learn guitar leads after hearing a song only once.
Chris Aloisio (Drums)
Chris Aloisio started drumming in 1980 and a few years later joined a local country band up the street from where he lived. Since then Chris has played just about every type of music. Chris has lived in Minnesota for the past 12 years and has been involved in several local projects. He’s had a lot of fun playing on many of the well known stages with a lot of cool people over the years. Now, with the Mojo Monks, Chris is looking forward to his continued adventure with this great group of musicians.
When Chris isn’t behind his kit, he’s spending time with his family. He and his wife have been blessed with two great kids, Lauren and Austin.
Jeff Eccles (Bass)
Jeff Eccles, who started playing bass at the age of 19, keeps the beat going for the Mojo Monks. Jeff started his first band during the eighties, False Pretense, a 60’s and 70’s cover band. The band played until raising a family and building a career took precedence. After 15 years off, Jeff reconnected with a few of his former False Pretense band mates and started False Pretense Part II. From there, Jeff formed The Gravity Mechanics and then met Stephen Cuneo and Dave Landsverk when he joined Smoke. Smoke ended in 2009 when the vocalist left and the remaining trio chose to pursue a new opportunity. Today, Jeff is pleased to have a new passion, the Mojo Monks. Jeff also performs much of the management responsibilities for the Monks.
