Mojo Monks - Top Musicians
Heather started playing an instrument at age eight. As a young band student, she developed her instrumental skills learning to play flute and piccolo along with various percussion instruments including snare drum, bells, cymbals and tympani. She played for the concerto band and orchestra in high school which offered the distinct honor of playing on the stage at Epcot Center in Disney World, Orlando Florida. As a young junior high student Heather decided to expound on her love for music and she joined her hometown church choir. This is where she discovered her passion for singing. She is honored to join such an amazingly talented line-up of musicians.
Dennis started singing and playing guitar at the age of 12 and has always approached his music with a passion. Following in-step with his older brothers and sister, Dennis has been entertaining professionally since his late teens. After playing St. Paul clubs with The Change through the late '80's and early '90's, Dennis took time off from the music scene to raise his three daughters with his wife. In 2009 Dennis decided it was time to get back into a band and joined the Mojo Monks after just one band audition. Dennis has been a key member of the band ever since. He is honored to continue his monastic journey with The Mojo Monks.
Andrew’s passion for music began on the keyboard the age of 10 in Rochester, Mn. He joined a cover band at a young age and played throughout High School.
While attending Music Tech in Minneapolis as a keyboard major, Andrew was a member of an original hard rock band called Kings Rook, which played throughout the Southern Twin Cities area for 5 years.
Andrew’s deep love for music has stretched him across many musical styles, genres, venues and musicians and is honored to become the most recent member of the talented band Mojo Monks.
He is a devoted father, loving husband and lives for God, Music and Rock and Roll.
Troy - Percussion
Troy has played in rock, country, jazz, drum corps, hip-hop, pop, and percussion ensembles for the past 30 years. He is a 2 time snare drum solo world champion and has played with the Minnesota Vikings Drumline. In his free time, he is a devoted husband and father and a huge fan of all Minnesota sports teams.
Jules - Bass & Vocals
Jules’s musical training began at an early age on the violin, where he played in the school orchestra until the age of 12. As a teenager, he took up bass guitar, enjoying how the instrument plays roles in both rhythm and melody. He soon formed a band with two classmates, and the young trio played their first gig at age 15. Over the years he’s provided low-end and vocal support for several popular local acts. As a member of the band’s rhythm section, Jules provides the pulse that keeps the dance floor
moving all night long!
