Mojo Monks - Top Musicians
Denny started singing and playing guitar at the age of 12 and has always approached his music with a passion. Following in-step with his older brothers and sister, Denny has been entertaining professionally since his late teens. After playing in St. Paul clubs with The Change through the late '80's and early '90's, Denny took time off from the music scene to raise his three daughters with his wife Jo (who is the manager of the MoJo Monks). In 2009 Denny decided it was time to get back into a band and joined the Mojo Monks that were just beginning. As a founding member of the band, he is honored to continue his monastic journey with The MoJo Monks.

Tammy-Lead Vocals
Tammy Jo is a seasoned veteran of the Minneapolis cover band scene, where she was born and raised. She began her musical career in 2007 with a variety cover band and, by 2009, joined a well-established pop/rock group, where she honed her skills as a dynamic frontwoman and lead vocalist alongside some of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians.
In late 2012, Tammy founded her own country/rock project. As lead vocalist, owner, and manager, her passion for country music quickly flourished. She expanded into songwriting and began exploring the original music scene, releasing her debut album in March 2016, followed by a Christmas album in 2021.
Tammy brings a high-energy, rock-glam presence to every performance. Known for her powerful vocals and electric stage presence, she gives her all every time she steps on stage!
Scott - Bass & Vocals
Scott is a seasoned bassist and vocalist with deep roots in the Midwest music scene. Since switching to bass in 2004, he has anchored a variety of cover bands in Minneapolis, MN and Cincinnati, OH, while also delivering strong vocals and harmonies. His earlier years were spent playing guitar in both cover and original bands, giving him a versatile command of rhythm, groove, and song structure.He has performed at major events including Grandma’s Marathon, the Minnesota State Fair, Taste of Cincinnati, country fairs, street festivals, casinos, and countless local music venues. Known for locking in tight pockets and delivering reliable, energetic grooves and vocals night after night, Scott brings professionalism and passion to every stage.
Troy - Percussion
Troy has played in rock, country, jazz, drum corps, hip-hop, pop, and percussion ensembles for the past 30 years. He is a 2 time snare drum solo world champion and has played with the Minnesota Vikings Drumline. In his free time, he is a devoted husband and father and a huge fan of all Minnesota sports teams.
JON -Keyboards
Jon has been involved with music for over 50 years, starting with piano lessons and singing at the tender age of 5. Having grown up in a musical family, Jon has been blessed with the rare ability to play almost any song by ear. Growing up in the small town of Wadena, Minnesota, he was actively involved in various music projects, especially junior and senior high school band and choir. He even played drums for the high school stage band. As Jon continued his education, he moved to Northwestern College to pursue a degree in Music Performance. After his college education, he joined the Twin cities live music scene and has been involved in bands for the past 30 years. He also teaches piano in his spare time to children and adults and is a part-time salaried church organist.
Jo-Manager
Jo is the dedicated Manager of the MoJo Monks, expertly overseeing every facet of the band's operations. From booking shows and securing contracts to payments and submitting 1099s, she ensures everything runs smoothly. Jo captures memorable moments at each performance, makes strategic decisions, and maintains communication with the venues. Additionally, she manages the band's online presence on Facebook and their website, showcasing the MoJo Monks to fans everywhere while also assisting with production setup and teardown at the end of the night.
